ASAA Newsletter — April 2023
Fellow Alleynians,
It has been quite a while that you have not heard from me [Kathy Harper-Hall], but I am back. I have been nursing a fractured foot for the past three months but thankfully it is gradually on the mend. So much has happened since I last communicated with you that I may not be able to capture all, but I will do the best I can. Please note the below updates:
01
Founders Day Service & Alumni Day 2023:
The week of April 23–29 2023 will be the annual “Alleyne Week” and we will be celebrating with the staff and students. During the week, the annual Founders Day Service will be held. That same day will be branded as “Alumni Day”. On that day, past students of the school are invited to join the staff and students on the campus from 9 am. Immediately after Founders Day Service, members of our alumni community are invited to interact with the current fifth year group of students during a special session.
The mentorship session will focus on the discussion theme “What it is like to be an Alleynian”. This session is on Wednesday April 26th, Founders Day 2023. The service will start at the usual 9.30 am and the interaction session will happen after the service.
As many Alleynians as possible from all age groups are invited to join the Alumni Day Interaction session. Please let us/me know If you are interested, please contact Kathy Harper-Hall [Alumni P.R.O] at 232–7556 or via return mail at asaabar@gmail.com. Alternatively you may also contact immediate past president Carseen Greenidge via mobile/Whatsapp at 256–2000. Do let us know of your willingness to participate so we may plan for the number of Alleynian past students. The school welcomes our engagement with the students.
